Gruppo Boero has once again been chosen as the partner for the interior decoration of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, following its successful experience at Expo Dubai. The event will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025.
Gruppo Boero is a symbol of Italian passion for color and expertise in developing high-performance coating solutions. This partnership with Expo underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to demonstrating its ability to meet the aesthetic and functional needs of those designing, using, and benefiting from its products.
For the Italy Pavilion in Osaka, Boero was responsible for the decoration and protection of the internal plasterboard surfaces, providing its know-how, training, technical support, and products to the on-site application team. The choice of coating materials played a critical role in achieving both high technical performance and a premium finish. Gruppo Boero’s R&D laboratory carefully selected the specific coating system for the project, which was tested in Italy through rigorous durability and performance trials before being applied in Japan.
In terms of color selection, in collaboration with the design firm MCA Architects, ivory tones were chosen to harmonize perfectly with the use of wood for the exposed beams, both vertical and in the pavilion’s ceilings. The colors were selected from Boero’s interior color palette 1831 – il colore italiano.
The final result is the product of a seamless collaboration between Gruppo Boero and the skilled professionals involved, coordinated by project managers Eng. Federico Ratini and Eng. Stefano Petrucci.
